At what age do you plan to talk to your children about sex?

I'm hearing from school teachers that kids as young as 4th grade are having sex. This is unbeleiveable to me!! Do I really have to sit down with my child when she is 8 to talk about sex? This seems so young to me, but I feel like I have to. What do you think?
